New Hyde Park Football Tradition

New Hyde Park has a very illustrious history, dating back to the program's prime in the late 70's and early 80's led by the likes of Angelo Giugliano (Head Coach), Paul Zambuto (Defensive Back), Herbert Butzke (Defensive Lineman), Tom Smiley (Defensive Lineman), Mike Garrett (Defensive Lineman), Rick Wozniak (Offensive Lineman),  John Garrett (Offensive Lineman), Anthony Cappellino (Linebacker), Jim Schuman (Quarterback) and John Powderly (Defensive Back). All of these players are in the New Hyde Park Athletics Hall of Fame, have been honored with All-Conference, All-County, All- Long, All-State, and even All-American status, and most importantly led New Hyde Park to the promised land. This portion of the site is to recognize the achievements of the football alumnus of New Hyde Park Memorial High School. Enjoy!
